What are the cross-border e-commerce logistics and how to find good logistics!

In cross-border e-commerce, logistics has always been the top priority. In many cases, it determines the quality of products and services, and has a considerable impact on costs. Today, the editor will talk about the cross-border e-commerce logistics model? Let’s take a look below. 1. Postal express mode: The postal network basically covers the whole world and is wider than any other logistics channels. This is mainly due to the Universal Postal Union and the Kahala Post Organization (KPG). The Universal Postal Union is a specialized agency for international postal affairs under the United Nations. It adopts some conventions and regulations to improve international postal services and develop international cooperation in postal services. Due to the large number of members of the Universal Postal Union and the uneven development of the postal system among member states, it is difficult to promote in-depth postal cooperation among member states. So in 2002, the postal departments of six countries and regions with relatively developed postal systems (China, the United States, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and Hong Kong) held a postal CEO summit in the United States, and established the Kahala Post Organization, and then Spain And the United Kingdom also joined the organization. The Kahala Organization requires that the delivery time limit of all member states meet the quality standard of 98%. If the goods are not delivered to the recipient on the specified date, the operator responsible for delivery shall pay the customer 100% of the price of the goods. These strict requirements have urged member states to deepen cooperation and strive to improve service levels. For example, postal parcels sent from China to the United States usually arrive within 15 days. According to incomplete statistics, 70% of Chinese export cross-border e-commerce parcels are delivered through the postal system, of which China Post accounts for about 50%. Other postal services used by Chinese sellers include Hongkong Post and Singapore Post. Netease focuses on cross-border e-commerce logistics supply chain services, and is the only company that integrates global postal channels. 2. COD logistics model: The COD logistics model is the service model of collecting payment on behalf of the goods. When the goods are delivered, the logistics company will charge on their behalf, which is what we often call “one-handed payment and one-handed delivery”. At present, COD cross-border e-commerce B2C logistics is popular in the cross-border e-commerce logistics industry, and many companies have launched cash on delivery services. The biggest advantage of the COD logistics model is that it eliminates the cost of advances in the account period of the traditional logistics model and the risk of bad debts, and reverses the entire cash flow operation link and the traditional model. The seller’s sales revenue and profit part of the cash flow are all controlled by the freight forwarder. The most attractive place for sellers is a large and substantial cash flow and the absence of the risk of bad debts. 3. Domestic express delivery mode: Domestic express mainly refers to EMS, SF Express and “Four Links and One”. In terms of cross-border logistics, Shentong Yuantong’s layout is relatively early, but it has only recently expanded. For example, the US Shentong was launched in March 2014. YTO also cooperated with CJ Korea Express in April 2014. However, Zhongtong, Huitong and Yunda have just started cross-border logistics business. SF Express’s international business is more mature. At present, it has opened courier services to the United States, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries. Goods sent to Asian countries can usually be used for 2-3 days. Among domestic express delivery, the international business of EMS is the most complete. Relying on postal channels, EMS can directly cover more than 60 countries around the world. Compared with the four major express delivery giants, the cost is relatively low. The ability to clear customs in China is very strong. It reaches 2-3 days in Asian countries and 5-7 days in Europe and the United States. 4. International express delivery mode: Refers to the four major commercial express delivery giants, namely DHL, TNT, FEDEX and UPS. Through their self-built global network, these international express providers use their powerful IT systems and localized services around the world to provide overseas users with high-quality online product experience. For example, a package sent to the United States via UPS can arrive within 48 hours. However, high-quality services are accompanied by high prices. Generally speaking, only when the customer’s timeliness requirements are high, Chinese businessmen will use international commercial express delivery to provide goods.
